HardMac andAppleInsider have shared rather a sad news that the arrival and the availability of the new iPod Touch as well as the iPod Nano is likely to be delayed. One thing you need to be clear about is that it is a rumor, and is yet to be confirmed officially.
HardMac stated:
The problem has been spotted in the first dozen of thousands units produced. Those units have been put aside. We do not know if the problem has been solved in the meantime. In any case, the iPod Touch availability would be delayed and initial volumes reduced. If the problem has not been solved yet, then the updated iPod Touch might be significantly delayed.
