Google and Verizon join together to develop Android phones

Both the parties have expressed commitment to allocate dedicated staff to accelerate the process of delivering innovative and cutting edge apps to the consumers as soon as possible. Google andVerizon will be responsible for creating, marketing and distributing the products and services. Lowell McAdam, chief executive officer ofVerizon Wireless said regarding this agreement:

The nation’s best wireless broadband network is a perfect complement to the innovation of Android-powered services and devices. Together, we’ll work to deliver a compelling new experience to our customers.

Eric Schmidt, chairman and chief executive officer for Google said

The Android platform allows Verizon Wireless customers to experience faster and easier access to the web from any location.Through this partnership, we hope to deliver greater innovation in the mobile space to consumers across the U.S.
