Windows 7 zero day flaw announced

Microsoft has stated, that it is working on fixing the SMB (Server Message Block) flaw found in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The SMB file sharing protocol has been found to be defective, since it allows the possibility of crashing a computer from a remote location. Microsoft has come up with a temporary work around to protect the users from this remote vulnerability which is discussed in the upcoming paragraphs.
