Google has announced Goo.gl, a URL shortening service from the internet search engine giants, as you can sense from the name. What’s so unique about it? Well for starters it is not a standalone app like other popular URL shortening services such as bit.ly which straight away reduces its competition chances against a powerful URL shortening service like bit.ly (at least for the time being). It can be used in conjunction with Google Toolbar or Feedburner only.
